This figure welcomes you to the Burke Museum in the tradition of similar iconic figures that have stood on the shores of the Salish Sea for generations.
Weaver's Welcome is a welcome figure commissioned for the new Burke Museum. It stands in the Lower Lobby entrance to the museum, along with a land acknowledgement that visitors see before entering the rest of the museum.
The Lower Lobby showcases Washington state pieces from the three major areas of the Burke Museum collections: culture, biology, and paleontology.
