Join artist-in-residence, Natasha Marin, as she creates a masquerade (physical representation of spirits or ancestors) sculpture exploring displacement, and belonging. Participants will be provided art supplies including cowrie shells, various African textiles, and beads, to decorate and fill cloth “pockets” to be added to the final sculpture. This will be an intergenerational experience as we tell our stories of the unique and beautiful journeys we all take through life. We encourage families to learn amongst each other and in community to strengthen our sense of belonging.
