Alutiiq artists Ingrid Isuwiq Hansen and Jessica Pilista Towns-Camara will be weaving small baskets in the Artist Studio. Jessica will also be selling fur earrings in a pop-up booth at the entrance to the Artist Studio.
About the Artists

Ingrid Isuwiq Hansen and her daughter, Jessica Pilista Towns-Camara, are deeply committed to the revitalization of Alutiiq weaving traditions. As Alutiiq Culture Bearers, Ingrid and Jessica reawaken and practice Sugpiaq cultural arts and connect their work back to their ancestors. They actively engage in passing down ancestral knowledge and the art of weaving to inspire a deeper cultural connection and pride within the Alutiiq community. Together, Jessica and Ingrid honor the legacy of Alutiiq weavers, ensuring that these skills thrive for generations to come.
